The Dead Sea & The Babbling Brook

So as ya'll know Daniel and I have been reading The 5 Love Languages as apart of our premarital counseling. Well we are just flying through the book; we LOVE it! We are learning alot about each other, and can't believe how much of our own personality traits we are coming acrossed in the book.

There is a section in the book that we both saw our personalities shine through to the tee. Dan told me a bit about it, and then when I read the section myself I laughed out loud as to how much it is me and Dan! If you have read the book, I am talking about "The Dead Sea," and "The Babbling Brook." The dead sea(Dan) will sit quietly and just listen and observe and take everything in. The babbling brook(Me) will take whatever comes in through the eyes or ears and lets it out through the mouth! Which is so us and how are relationship has been and continues to be! It works! I just found it really cute when Dan called me Monday afternoon and was said, "I'm the dead sea and you're my babbling brook!"

A lighthearted Sunday Blurp

So I am slowly starting to begin to feel like myself again; very slowly! But its great cause that means by the time my BIRTHDAY rolls around in 9 DAYS I should be 100% for all my birthday fun! :) I am excited my Bestie will be here next weekend to celebrate with me and my Chicky Baby and I will be doing dinner at Blue Nami together my birthday night after I get off of work!

I have a feeling that my 23rd year of life is going to be AMAZING! There are going to be many changes that will be occuring.

Well happy sunday to all! I am off to get ready to read The 5 Love Languages with my love, then off to work I go!

Life must go on: even if I'm sick!

So I am still in so much pain from this cold! I feel disgusting! I don't feel like doing much of anything, but I am a bride to be which means I must get my butt up, because there is still so much that needs to be done!

Wednesday we had our first premarital counseling session, and it was great! We are reading Gary Chapman's The 5 Love Languages. I have barely started but what I have read I love. I am still finishing Dr. Laura's The Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands, a book that my lovely friend Kate let me borrow back in October, but with my hectic schedule I have not been able to finish, but am close to now!

Today , even though I was feeling really horrible, I had to order my wedding dress! Its funny, as gross as I looked and felt, but when I slipped my dress on, the excitement and glow in my cheeks was hard to deny even with my cold. I am a girl beaming with excitement for our big day! I will admit I am getting a bit nervous, but that is normal right? I mean its a huge life change. I know Daniel is the one, but I can't help but be nervous! Its going to be great sharing our lives together! We will learn to live with each other, he think he knows, but he has no idea, how much things are going to be different! :)

There is so much to do, but I have the FLU :(

These last few days have been HORRIBLE! I have the most nastiest cold in the world, so nasty that I have even had to call in sick for work on today(which is very,very rare for me to do). Yesterday was probably the worst of the 3 days that I have been down so far, as I pushed myself to run some errands with my husband to be. It may have been silly to do, but I will thank myself in 7 months when we are living in our cute little home with the carpet and tile that I chose. I had half a mind to leave him to make these decisions on his own because I had felt so badly, but I am so happy that I did not! I love him unconditionally, yes I do, but if I was to walk into our home in a few months and see what he had picked out...I think I would tear out the carpet and tile myself! But all is well that ends well!



I have a fairly busy week, this week. So hopefully my cold does not keep me down for much longer. I plan on sleeping all day today! Wednesday we have our first premarital counseling session! and on Thursday, I have a meeting with the rep from our venue to make some final decisions and I am also getting measured for my wedding gown on Thursday too! :)



I cannot believe how quickly the time is flying by. Before I know it our big day will be here and we will be Mr. and Mrs.

My Girls!

Hello all! So this wedding business is begining to exhaust me! I am counting down the days until my birthday, where I am hoping that my love will announce that he is sending me to a spa! Cause I could so use an all day pamper complete with massage, facial and mani, pedi! ( a little hint,hint my love, in case you didn't know!).

Anyways, we(me) have finally finished choosing memebers to complete our bridal party! I am so excited to have my two very best friends Sarah and Amanda stand next to me as my Maid and Matron of Honor. My cousin Monique, and my lifelong friend, Chelce will be my beautiful bridesmaids. Then that leaves my Ashley! My gorgeous cousin Ashley is assisting me in all things wedding and home from now until I do! My girls are also chomping at the bit, and planning my shower that will be taking place this Summer. I feel so relieved to have the help of my girls, espeically now that my cousins are involved cause my MOH's are both going to be MIA soon, and Chelce is moving to Mississippi; so with the 3 of them flying in and out of town, it feels great to have peace of mind again, now that Ashley and Monique are going to help me make decisions and get things finalized! So excited! Only 7 months until I'm his Mrs.!

Quick Update!

Whew! I was gone for a minute but I am back again! Hope all had a very special Valentine's Day! I know I did! We have been busy, looking for our future home as Mr. and Mrs. and we have FINALLY finished our registries! Talk about exhausting! But I am excited to have the next 3 days off, all in a row, which is a very rare treat for me! So I will be heading out this morning with my bridesmaid, Chelce, in search of my perfect wedding dress, and tonight I will be dining at Blue Nami with my two favorite Mrs. H's!

Please Save the Date!

So the moment that everyone has been waiting for, the big reveal...the wedding date is now officially set and that means we have just about 7 months until "I DO!" I cannot believe it,the time is going to fly by so fast! I just know it, because it already is! Its NUTS!!!!!!!! I have had many friends get married and I do not recall anyone telling me how insane it is! Yesterday we met with who very well will turn out to be our cake baker, and apparently we have chosen the busiest weekend to get married! But it is quite alright, we are just busting at the seams with excitment for this journey in life we are going to start together!

We are also starting our wedding registry this Sunday too! I am so excited! I walked through Crate and Barrel scoping out some great must haves for our new home!

Oops! Before I go I should probably announce the date of the BIG DAY: Sunday, September 19,2010!
